Niceville, what a pleasant name...
Founded as the City of Boggy in the late 1800's, citizens thought the name wasn't flattering, so the name Niceville was given in 1910.
No not Niceville, how about Valparaiso...
Not everyone was happy with the name Niceville, so the town changed the name again in 1919 to Valparaiso, which is Spanish for 'Vale of Paradise'.
Hmm, Niceville, wait, let's use it again...
With another town close by called New Valparaiso, the confusion caused so many problems that in 1925, Niceville became the permanent name.
